This program is suitable for applicants who hold a current/valid First Aid Level 2/Senior First Aid Accreditation and require an update.
There is a focus on increasing a safe work environment and helping employers conform to OH&S requirements.
This course has been tailored to cover issues encountered within the electrical industry. Providing you with the skills and knowledge, needed to perform First Aid in the workplace.
Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue and CPR training, provides strategies for you to perform a safe rescue. Especially, to those who have received an electric shock or personal injury.
On completion, you will be competent to provide resuscitation to a person who has stopped breathing, or is unconscious, due to electrical shock. This course also provides the skills needed to manage the dangers of accidental electrocution.
These standards of performance, include knowledge of the low voltage rescue kit and follow the CPR guidelines set out by the Australian Resuscitation Council. Practical skills will assessed during the course.
Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards

Perform rescue from a live LV panel

Training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding.
