The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety covers all key ares of workplace safety, including compliance with WHS law, hazard identification, incident response and management.
Evening classes: Every Monday and Wednesday from 6pm - 9pm for 6 months
To receive this qualification you must complete five core units and five elective units.
The following electives are also available for those working in the following industry sectors. These two electives would make up the five electives required to complete the course.

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.

There are no formal entry requirements, however it is advantageous to have previous vocational or workplace experience.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview.
These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. Upon completion of this course, you will receive the BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.

WHSE/OHSE officer, coordinator, manager, supervisor, consultant or advisor in all sectors including health, education, hospitality, transport, construction, mining, manufacturing, logistics, retail and government.
