The Introduction to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) course is designed for people who have minimal to no experience in PLCs. You will develop an understanding of the process of development, installation and testing of PLCs for a system requiring discrete control functions.Course duration
The course will teach you to:
- work safely
- apply knowledge of control systems
- control system development methods
- use ladder diagrams/statement list/function block diagram instruction sets
- follow written instructions and document program development
- test activities.
After completing this course, you will have the in-depth knowledge and skills to enable you to develop, enter and verify discrete control programs for programmable controllers.
Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.
