Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.

- Minimum of Year 10 English and mathematics. This course is not recommended if you find mathematics at this level challenging
- Applicants should be at least 16 years old and above
Prospective students will need to undertake a pre training review prior to enrolment.
Qualification & Recognition
After successfully completing this course, you will be eligible to receive the 22261VIC Certificate II in Electrotechnology Studies (Pre-vocational), and be well positioned to pursue apprenticeship opportunities within the electrical industry.
Successful completion of the 22261VIC Certificate II in Electrotechnology Studies (Pre-vocational) can be credited towards your apprenticeship, reducing the overall time taken to complete your offsite training. When you are seeking employment, this is appealing to prospective employers as you have already commenced the off the job training component of an apprenticeship.
At the completion of this course, you may wish to continue your studies in the UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician). You may also apply for credit towards this course.

2017 public course dates:
Full time program you will be required to attend classes 4 days per week.Tuesday to Friday from 8 am - 4.30 pm.
