This course involves both practical and theoretical training, in the installation and maintenance of customer optical fibre cabling systems.
The course is designed for trade workers and technical support persons who are already working in the telecommunications industry, who do not hold any formal qualifications, or may need to update skills to meet current Licensing and Regulatory requirements.
This course is delivered through a combination of theoretical and practical workshop demonstration and hands on activities on campus.

Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. There are no formal prerequisites for this course, however, it is recommended students have Open Cabling Registration or complete the Open Cabling Course prior to attending.
Qualification & Recognition
After successfully completing this course, you will be eligible to receive a nationally endorsed statement of attainment.
This course is delivered over 2 full days on campus, Tuesday and Wednesday, 8am - 4.30pm
