The ACMA Open Registration course involves both practical and theoretical training in the installation and maintenance of customer premises cabling systems.
The course is designed for those who want to enter into the telecommunications industry or trade workers and technical support persons already working in the telecommunications industry, wanting to apply for the ACMA Open Registration Licence.
This course is delivered through a combination of theoretical learning, practical demonstration and hands-on activities on campus.

Refresher Course – for experienced telecommunications workers
A refresher course is available for experienced technicians only. The refresher course involves online self-paced study to be completed and attending a two-day practical workshop session on campus that covers all practical assessment requirements.
When applying, please inform the department of your experience to ensure your eligibility for the refresher course.
AssessmentAssessment may be a combination of written and online assignments, tests, examinations and practical application projects.

Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. Qualification & Recognition
After successfully completing this course, you are eligible to receive a nationally endorsed statement of attainment.
This course is delivered over five full days on campus, Monday - Friday, 8.00 am - 4.30 pm.
